User Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated: September 07, 2026
1. Overview
This page explains how you can request the deletion of your personal data from Ecounta. This includes data you have provided directly through your Ecounta account, as well as data received through third-party integrations you have connected, such as Facebook or Instagram Login and messaging via Meta's Graph API.
2. If You Signed Up or Connected via Facebook/Instagram
If you used Facebook Login to connect a Page, Instagram account, or messaging channel to Ecounta's CRM, you can remove Ecounta's access and request deletion of the associated data in either of the following ways:
- Remove the app from Facebook: Go to Facebook Settings & Privacy → Settings → Business Integrations (or Apps and Websites), find Ecounta, and select Remove. This revokes Ecounta's access to your Facebook/Instagram data.
- Request deletion directly from us: Submit a request using the methods described in Section 4 below, and we will delete the associated data from our systems.
When Facebook notifies us that you have removed the integration, we automatically queue the connected channel account, messages, and related lead/contact records synced from that channel for deletion from our systems.
3. What Data Is Deleted
A data deletion request removes:
- Your account profile information (name, email, phone number)
- Connected channel credentials and tokens (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Email)
- Messages, conversation threads, and leads synced from connected channels
- Any other personal data associated with your account that is not required to be retained for legal, accounting, or security purposes
Business records that other users in a shared workspace depend on (e.g., invoices or ledgers tied to a business account) may be retained or anonymized rather than deleted outright, where deletion would break the integrity of another party's required records. Data we are legally obligated to retain (e.g., tax and financial records) will be kept only for as long as required by law, then deleted.
4. How to Request Deletion
You can request deletion of your data using any of the following methods:
- Email: Send a request to privacy@ecounta.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".
- In-app: If you have an active account, go to Account Settings → Privacy and select Delete My Data, or contact your workspace administrator to do so on your behalf.
- Facebook app removal: As described in Section 2, removing Ecounta from your Facebook settings also triggers deletion of data synced from that connection.
Please include enough information for us to identify your account (registered email address, business name, or connected Page/Instagram handle).
5. Processing Time
We will confirm receipt of your request within a reasonable time and complete deletion within 30 days, except where we are required or permitted by law to retain certain data for a longer period. We will notify you once the deletion is complete.
6. Related Policies
